MCA Church and all its ministries exist to glorify God and grow people to their full potential in Christ. MCA Worship Ministry’s purpose is to equip vocalists, musicians, and the sound/media team to minister to the very best of their abilities, pursue Christ as individuals and as a community, influence people towards a transformed life, and cultivate environments that bring out the “God” potential in others.
How can I serve?
Musician
Do you play an instrument? We’re always looking for skilled musicians who have a heart to continue perfecting their craft and a heart for worship. In addition to our LIVE Sunday services, we have several other venues where we lead worship. We’d love to have you as part of the team!
Vocalist
If you have experience in singing, an ear for harmony, or simply love to worship, we need you! In addition to our LIVE Sunday services, we have several other venues where we lead worship. We believe God can use your gifts and skills to make a difference in the lives of others at MCA Church.
Sound, Media, & Live Stream Team
If you have experience running sound, lighting or video presentations, or if you are tech-savvy, we need you! We have multimedia systems in the LIVE auditorium that require people on camera, sound, switcher, and our presentation software. Our ability to serve reaches those who are unable to join us in person in our community, state, and all around the world. This is a great opportunity to use your skills to serve people and the church!
Worship Team
Our worship team has the opportunity to serve, and we typically schedule you only once per month, unless you’d like more opportunities to serve. We have the opportunity to serve for all three Sunday morning services (9a or 11:30a) or one Wednesday night service (6pm).
When will I serve?
Two Sunday morning services or One Wednesday night service a month
Thursday - Practice at 6:30pm - 7:45pm
Production & Live Stream Team
We need sound and our presentation software for all services Sunday morning and our Sunday evening service. Serve team members typically serve for both morning services or the one Sunday evening service they are scheduled. You can be scheduled once a month or more if desired. Our live stream runs during our 9am and 11:30am services. Those running cameras, sound, switcher, and the presentation program are required to be at Sunday morning soundcheck.
Sunday - Soundcheck at 8am, Worship 9am-10:30am & 11:30am-12:45pm
Wednesday - Practice at 5:45pm, Worship 7pm - 8:30pm
Who can serve?
Worship Team
We take the privilege of serving on the platform seriously and want to pursue excellence in all we do. We expect our serve team members to continually strive to draw closer to the Lord, continue to develop their craft, and be diligent and responsible in their leadership role at the church. There will be resources available to you regarding what is expected from a worship serve team member. You don't need to be an expert or professional musician, but there is an audition process to join the worship team. Sign up below to schedule this and two familiar songs will be sent your way to practice (mp3 audio, chord charts, and lyrics).
Production & Live Stream Team
There is room for people of all skill levels! If you have experience in any of these areas, we would love to have you! But the technical aspects can be taught. Media should not distract from the worship or teaching, but should enhance it. We are looking for people who want to use their skills to bring life to the Sunday services.
Step 1: Membership Class
We ask all those who are interested in serving in any area at MCA Church to go through our membership class. It’s more than just an orientation! The membership class allows you to know the history and DNA of MCA Church and why we do what we do. These classes typically take place once a month and are announced with more specific details regarding date and time of the membership class.
Step 2: Contact the Serve Team leader
Contact the Serve Team leader to let them know you're interested in joining their team. They can give you more details and get you plugged in once you've started started the process of the membership class or if you have any questions.
Planning Center
We use an online system called Planning Center for scheduling the worship, sound, and media serve team members and organizing services. Everyone will need a free Planning Center account to track their schedule, accept or decline requests to serve, and access rehearsal files (for worship, sound, and media team).
